Blinded: Part 8Observing the chaos from the Dragon's side, the Shade had to float back a bit as it noticed three red soldiers flying through the air heading straight towards it. It turned and narrowed its white seeping eyes as it saw Maikee, fuming, stalking towards it, two blades in hand. As it saw a red soldier run at her from behind, the extension left on her back shot out through its neck, grabbing the soldier and chucking it at the Shade. The creature ducked, moving towards her as she came forwards, satisfied at the prospect of having a worthy opponent to fight.Blinded: Part 8 by ChaosCreator42
Maikee lunged forwards, sending the black extension jutting towards the Shade, but the creature's own tentacled appendages blocked the attack, wrapping around Maikee's and throwing the girl through the air, over its head. Maikee landed on her feet, dashing forwards with her two blades at either side. The Shade shot one extension out, but the girl raised a blade and severed the thing off of the Shade's back, before reaching the Shade and
Blinded: Part 7A red soldier ran forward, swinging his sword at Brent, who leaned to the side and slashed upwards, hitting its neck as he did so. Aware of the others fighting around him, he ran forwards into another attack from a soldier. Blocking the horizontal swipe with a vertical parry, Brent finished by elbowing the soldier in his face before cutting it across the chest. Despite his younger age in Earth terms, from his own world, Brent was old enough to get married, (which he had done when giving Ruth the Bonds of Blue), and along with that came immense knowledge and formidable capabilities of self defense. Living even two years in the Other Side was an impressive feat, and Brent had made it through 18.Blinded: Part 7 by ChaosCreator42
Two soldiers continued a charge at him, but Brent rolled between them, landing up on his feet and hitting them both in the back with a careless swipe of the blade, before raising it above his head to block a downwards swipe from another red soldier in front of him. The soldier raised his blade ag
Blinded: Part 6Hanna glanced at her phone. It had appeared that her text had not gone through still, but she had no way of knowing.Blinded: Part 6 by ChaosCreator42
As she approached the dark red city, Hanna shook her head and put her phone away. There was no way that they would come. It was too far away, and even if they got the text, they'd have to leave immediately to get there on time.
On the more positive side, Hanna could see the portal contained within the tree quite clearly. It was as though somebody did a horrible job of covering it up... Or perhaps they didn't cover it up because they had no intention of coming back. Nero was on Earth, and it was too late.
Hanna, having been keeping an eye on the magnetic fluctuations present on the Earth, was fairly certain that this second portal would exit in the area of the Netherlands which she had noticed earlier.
Before going through, Hanna checked her pistol before remembering that it was out of ammo. If Nero was really through the portal, she would need something to defend herself
Blinded: Part 5The indescribable color of the portal between worlds flashed red as Nero's troops poured out of it, red like flowing blood seeping from a wound. They would never return to the other world, one way or another.Blinded: Part 5 by ChaosCreator42
The Dragon was wheeled out next, asleep on a rolling wooden cart, which the portal had distorted in order to fit such a large contraption through. It was an experiment the first time, letting the Dragon enter the portal, but though the portal distorted the creature, it was apparently unharmed.
The Shade came next, hovering silently as death above the muddied soil of the Netherland's forests. It had been apparently satisfied at the Thing's death, knowing full well that the most prominent threat to its existence was vanquished. If it was possible to float with an air of smugness, the Shade accomplished that feat.
And lastly came the devil Nero himself. He still wore the long trench coat accompanied with shades that he had apparently taken from one of the dead criminals. His red skin
